I participated the Defensive Driving Course organised by The Automobile Association of Malaysia in Stadium Shah Alam...
Buddy I would say it is extremely awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Fuih~ Thanks for giving me this opportunity to have so many times of skid, emergency brake experience
What I'd learnt: correct sitting position, method of control the sterling and stability of the car, bla bla bla...
What's funny is most of us (ladies) refuse to drive and were kept begging facilitator give us exemption
Yes we failed...But we didn't give up, when I was sitting on the driver seat and I said:
Sir, please la, I was shivering...Bolehkah I drive at 50km/h?
"CANNOT"
I: "okay then" and about to cry
And for first time I stepped on the brake pedal before I reached the stain area
Sir: "tak boleh, lagi, go again"
I was like: huh? WTF?
So second time I kept repeat "don step don't step the brake"
I success, but sir: Tak cukup laju...lagi! Go again
I was like (*^&%##$%^&*^%$#
At the end, success, can hear the braking sound? Awesomeeee...
You won't believe until you have try it out! Everybody can do this at the end...
What to say is: drive safe, the max speed in this video is 80km/h, imagine how fast you have to turn your sterling...what is 110km/h? Brother, confirm you bye bye...So, drive safe, not too fast...once fast and you turn your sterling, your car will spin...and you will bang whatever car or streetlight or pedestrians...
We like to make turn using "sotong hand" method, that means cross hand pulling the sterling
We are told to use nine-three method, that is your hand holding the sterling at 9-3 o'clock
Seriously, sotong hand method is not working when you 'piu yi' (skid), 9-3 method is working
When I was on my way back to home, I start to change my habits, and I drive very slow, haha
This course is purposely designed to expose you to dangerous situation eg. accident, slippery road etc to give you the real experience of how the car might go if you could control the car in correct way.
